Why am I starting this blog...and what is the purpose?

Last month, one of my colleagues in a graduate program I oversee experienced his version of a recurring dream I had as a child. (The actual dream always involved my sister and me, left in the backseat of our mother's car, which would slowly begin rolling backwards down the hill upon which she parked.) In this colleague's dream, he pictured me alone in the car; the car's license plate reading "735 WO1." Curious about the significance, I quickly contacted my mother, who possesses an incredibly acute memory. I assumed, as she is able to name every child she went to kindergarten with, that she might recall the license plate number of that old white Volvo she had in the '70s. No such luck.

Isn't stuff like this great?!? It reminds us that we should never underestimate the power and significance of these synchronistic occurrences in life. Things like this happen all the time, every day. If we all just open our minds and pay attention, we might just realize that the Universe (God, our Higher Self, etc.) is trying to tell us something...
